With nine women diagnosed with breast cancer every day, vital funds are needed for education, research and support. We are extremely honoured and proud to support Breast Cancer Foundation NZ (BCFNZ) with our annual Sealy Designer Bedroom Fundraiser.
Now in its seventh year, our Designer Bed campaign has traditionally seen NZ celebrities design their own, one-of-a-kind Sealy Posturepedic Exquisite bed. This year we decided to shake things up by challenging four Kiwi celebs to create their own bespoke bedrooms. Dame Trelise Cooper, Ben Boyce, Anika Moa and Portia Woodman all stepped up to the challenge – bringing their own personality and passion to the project, all in support of Breast Cancer Foundation NZ.
Each unique bedroom was themed and designed by one of our fabulous celebrities, in support of Breast Cancer Awareness month, and each of these bedrooms was put up for auction on Trade Me in October, with all proceeds donated to BCFNZ. This year we raised $25,000 - the funding goes towards early detection education, support for those with breast cancer, research, medical grants and advocacy. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has been involved with this fundraising effort, especially our amazing celebrities!
