What made you want to get involved with the Sealy Designer Bed campaign?
I wanted to get involved as it’s such an awesome campaign to be a part of, raising awareness for breast cancer. I have family members who have been affected by breast cancer and I'd personally give anything to help raise awareness.
What inspired your bedroom concept?
I love being out in nature and wanted to reflect this in the bedroom design. The natural fibres and colours and in particular being Maori – I wanted to have some of my culture in there as well.
What’s your favourite element of the room?
Aside from the gorgeous bed, my favourite element of the bedroom would be the artwork.
Why is working with BCFNZ important to you?
It's a great opportunity to be involved and to raise awareness and vital dollars to go towards Breast Cancer research.
How important is sleep to you, what do you love the most about your bed?
Sleep encourages recovery and repair which is important in everyday life but particularly for me as a professional rugby player, I need to rest and recover. I love that the bed is like its own sanctuary to retreat to at the end of the day.
